Pete had been at the Lucozade again this week, bouncing around the studio wearing his weighted practice gloves and barking himself hoarse, "This is your recovery", "Jog it out". Then following the recovery, boxing using 2 kg dumbbells; "Burst of three: jab, hook, upper cut," he repeated incessantly, x 15 times x 30 seconds each.
I looked at my boxing efforts in the mirror, nil points for style, technique and speed; eight for effort, but a whopping ten for grimacing and facial expression. I am certainly no boxer (thank goodness) but neither do I have what are referred to as 'bingo wings', therefore, from that I deduce something must be working.
One final week to go, unless he extends the sessions as promised, and yippee, still no tyre. YES!
